    Prime Minister Opens SEMICON India 2026

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened SEMICON India 2026 on Thursday evening at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre, launching the three‑day event that will run until Saturday.     More than 600 exhibitors—around 300 international firms— will occupy about 15,000 square metres of exhibition space. The event is expected to host over 150 speakers and includes six country pavilions and twelve state‑government pavilions.[3]

    A dedicated Startup Pavilion will showcase roughly forty start‑ups, while a Workforce Development Pavilion will focus on talent, skills and career opportunities in microelectronics.[3]
