Publication

Ordinary sufficiently sourced stories may publish automatically. Only genuinely critical and insufficiently verified stories are held for editor review.

Critical review

Review categories include uncertain mass-casualty events, weapons of mass destruction, head-of-state deaths, coups, major war onset, terrorism attribution, election reversals or fraud, war-crime attribution, rumored exchange insolvency, and direct contradiction about a central claim.

Clear labels

Reporting, analysis, opinion, and explainers are labeled distinctly. Sponsored material will never be presented as editorial reporting.

Attribution and uncertainty

Claims, casualty figures, forecasts, allegations, and estimates are attributed to the source that made them. Headlines must state the central event without overstating certainty. When sources materially disagree, the disagreement belongs in the story rather than being averaged away.

Originality

Cited Current does not publish article-spun copies. Stories combine source-grounded reporting, event context, direct citations, an evidence ledger, geography, related coverage, and a version history. Publisher wording and media are not copied without permission.

Community and conflicts

Reader comments are moderated for abuse, spam, privacy violations, and demonstrably harmful misinformation. Donations, social performance, commercial relationships, or model-provider relationships do not determine confidence ratings or correction decisions.
