After a strong finish on Day 9, India’s tally rose from 38 to 45 medals on the 28th of September, as the country accumulated four silver and three bronze medals across athletics, shooting, kurash and other sports, cementing its 12th‑place rank.[1]

Athletics dominates India’s Day 10 haul

The bulk of the medals came from track and field. Murali Sreeshankar took silver in the men’s long jump (8.07 m), Gulveer Singh secured silver in the men’s 1500 m, and Yashvir Singh earned silver in the men’s javelin with a personal best of 85.72 m. Shooting and kurash add to medal tally

In shooting, Esha Singh captured a silver in the women’s 25 m pistol after a double shoot‑off, while the mixed 10 m air pistol team earned India’s only gold of the day. Kurash also returned medals, with Pincky Balhara taking bronze in the women’s 78 kg division.[1]
