A fire at a northern Bangkok bar/pub is described as producing thick smoke at the entrance around midnight, while experts said combustible stage decor likely ignited and created extreme heat, smoke and deadly toxins.
Around 70 others were injured in the blaze at a 50-year-old venue, according to the report, which said investigators were examining blocked exits and faulty wiring.
The death toll from a Bangkok bar fire rose to 30 as investigators opened a probe into the blaze, while one report said three wounded people later died and another said more than 70 were injured, including 24 in critical condition.
